About us

The Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience is a non-profit organization whose main function is to create awareness of the importance and contributions of neuroscience in diverse areas of human endeavor.

THE INSTITUTE FOR COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE  is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, established under United States federal regulations, whose primary mission is to promote awareness of the importance of neuroscience and its impact in various fields. of human development. ​

 

It is the first non-profit organization founded in Puerto Rico with the objective of promoting the study and research in cognitive neuroscience. It has become the most important organization for the dissemination of neuroscience and its impact in diverse areas such as education, mental health and mindfulness, among others. Important alliances have been made with non-profit, educational, scientific and social organizations to continue with a sustained and regular curriculum of scientific events with high academic and social impact. Its professional training programs are accredited by the Medical Sciences Campus of the University of Puerto Rico.​

Scientific research and interest in neuroscience is the driving force behind each project undertaken. The work of the Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience has been recognized by local and international media.

 

The Institute for Cognitive Neuroscience has brought together scientists, doctors, psychologists, teachers, artists and other professionals who share a common interest in neuroscience. Renowned neuroscientists have participated as guest speakers at numerous events: symposiums, conferences, workshops, retreats and congresses. The Institute has reached thousands of people and has expanded to include other geographical areas where it continues to bring cognitive neuroscience to a diverse population, impacting their lifestyles and improving their quality of life. As a leader, he has set high standards for each project with a commitment to research and scientific knowledge. The success, credibility and recognition achieved are due to the social and academic impact achieved.

Our philosophy

THE INSTITUTE FOR COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE, as a non-profit organization 501(c)(3) committed to its mission and vision statements, has convened to reinvest part of its proceeds on scholarships for those who cannot afford upcoming events and for cognitive neuroscience research, development of projects, and cognitive neuroscience training.
